Recording Studio

It can be a magical experience, hearing your song or performance come to life in a professional studio. We believe that everyone should get that opportunity – even those that couldn’t otherwise afford it. That’s why we offer a full recording studio service at no charge.

We also help musicians who are wanting to start gigging get good quality demos of their work – a vital resource to present to venues.

Or, maybe you’re a budding songwriter – we’d love to help you record one of your songs professionally! Again, at no charge.

What can we record? We are able to record anything from a single musician to a full band, in pretty much any genre.

How does it work? A studio producer is provided. The session is limited to three hours, which is normally enough to record a complete song including mixing and mastering. If you want to book another session, you can do so, but you will be expected to take turns with other people wanting to use the studio.

Can I record a full album? Yes you can! It could take several months, since you’ll be taking turns with other clients, but we have had several albums made here. We can even help with artwork and design, CD duplication, uploading to Spotify and other platforms, and arranging for an album release concert. All at no charge.

Our recording studio is in great demand and we have to pay for scheduled recording sessions, whether the artist shows up or not. It is vital that you keep your appointment. If you absolutely cannot make it (e.g. please don’t come if you’re sick) let your recording engineer know as soon as possible.

The studio schedule is tight, so please arrive at your assigned time. (There is no need to arrive early for setup, however, since it's usually not possible to enter the studio until your assigned time.)

Make sure that you (and your band, if you have one) have practiced the song you want to record very well. This allows us to make the best use of your studio time. Many of our clients are able to get it right on the first or second take, which really helps us out.

A free recording session? How on earth do we pull this off? It works because all our clients think about what they can do to give back to our musical family. Donations are always welcomed, if you are able to do that. Others offer their services as session musicians, or perform at a concert for us, or even do some gardening or cleaning!
